Riley Phillips

Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Hi, I am Riley.

    I received my Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from California Baptist University and went on to complete my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Boston University (Go Sox!).

    I am licensed by the Speech-Language Pathology Board in the state of California and have also received my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

    I have experience with Private Practice, Public Schools (K-12th), Aphasia Centers, Stuttering Centers, Early Intervention Programs, Alternative and Augmented Communication, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and more. The world of speech is colorful and inviting to all.

Abbey Carter

Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Hi, I’m Abbey!

    I earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Baylor University. My professional experience includes alternative and augmented communication (AAC), early intervention, selective mutism, and autism spectrum disorder. I am also certified in Gestalt Language Processing through the Meaningful Speech course.

    I love building meaningful connections with my clients and their families because I believe connection is where communication and growth begin! My goal is to empower each of my clients by celebrating who they are, supporting their communication journey, and creating a therapy space that feels safe, engaging, and full of fun!

Rylee Arnott

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

  • I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Nevada, Reno, and earned my Speech-Language Pathology Assistant License from Loma Linda University under SLP Riley in the spring of 2023.

    I’m currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of St. Augustine and love bringing what I learn into meaningful, engaging sessions.

    I’m especially passionate about working with children with autism, making therapy fun and silly, and incorporating Waffles into our sessions. It’s such a joy to support and celebrate the children of San Clemente as they learn, grow, and explore their world through communication!

Lauren Ward

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

  • Hi, I’m Lauren!

    I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Purdue University (Boiler Up!) and earned my Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license from Loma Linda University. At SLP Riley, I’ve had the opportunity to tap into my creative side by helping manage our social media presence, posting videos, and showcasing the amazing work we do. I love being part of the SLP Riley team because we truly care about the families we serve and have built such a supportive, vibrant community.

    When I’m not in the clinic, I also work at Surf and Turf Therapy through SLP Riley, providing speech therapy to children while they ride horses. It's such a rewarding experience to combine therapy with the joy and freedom of horseback riding!

  • Hi, I am Grace!

    I graduated from Samford University with a degree in Communication and Media. From there I worked in client care and hospitality. I loved my time in the client care and hospitality world because it showed me how much I enjoy caring for people and how all the behind the scene details contribute to an excellent client experience.

    Now getting to be apart of the SLP Riley team, I am getting to bring those skills to the table and get to serve and love our clients well. I love getting to support Riley and the rest of the staff to help them continue to grow and shine as the caring and intentional clinic SLP Riley is.

Amanda Oliver

  • Hi, I’m Amanda!

    I started working in patient care at a chiropractic office then took some time off to raise my two sons and just recently have gotten back into working from home for the amazing SLP Riley team. Both of my boys play baseball, and I get to help out with both teams and have the joy of interacting with tons of amazing kiddos! I enjoy getting to help the ladies of the SLP Riley team, be able to see all the amazing work that they do, and be apart of something that means so much to so many!

Therapy Dog in Training

  • Hi, I’m Waffles!

    I was hand-picked from my litter for SLP Riley because of my submissive personality and desire to be with two-legged friends all day. I started training for my position at 4 months old and am on track to earn my therapy dog certificate from K-9 Caring Angels.

    I help my friends use their new words to request doggy snacks or invite me to play, sit by them for support if they’re doing something hard & always remind them they’re loved. My hobbies include getting treats, eating bubbles, and playing in the water!
